MJNI Projects Inc performed very professionally with great communication and excellent onsite project management. They earned our confidence during the Tenant Improvement and Restoration projects at our Timberlea and Synergy Pharmacies. We Highly recommend them.

04 / FAQ

Common questions.

Anything else, call 780-714-1777.

Do demising walls or partition removal in Calgary need a building permit?

Yes. The City of Calgary requires a building permit for construction, alterations, repair or demolition of structural and non-structural walls. Office interior renovations, demising walls and interior partition removal may qualify for quick release, while purely cosmetic work like painting or new furniture does not need a permit.

How long does a Calgary interior renovation permit take?

The City of Calgary says interior renovation permits typically take between 21 and 49 days. Planning approval for the commercial space has to be in place before the building permit is issued, and some uses, such as restaurants, daycares and salons, also need an Alberta Health Services review.

Will MJNI take on a commercial project in Calgary?

Yes. MJNI is taking commercial interior projects in Calgary, from tenant improvements and office renovations to steel stud framing, drywall, T-bar ceilings and flooring. Send the drawings, the address and the date you need the space, and MJNI will come back with an itemized quote and a schedule.
